I don't fly. I recently went to Chicago for the annual "Foot and Tickle Fest", and took a twenty-four hour ride on Amtrak to get there.

Unlike the airlines or Greyhound, nearly all the men on these trips will take off their shoes, and maybe their socks, especially if it's an overnight trip. The photo opportunities are almost limitless, providing you have the right combination of patience, equipment, and photo editing skills.

Staying in the coach section will give you many subjects to photograph. The sleeping cars, while offering fewer men and fewer opportunities, provide better camera angles and lighting. Either way, it's important that you DON'T use a flash, to avoid arousing suspicion.

Most of these pics were taken during the night. Photo editing software was necessary to make the images clear enough to view easily.

If you're planning on traveling, why not take the train and bring along a digital camera? It's often cheaper than the airlines, and much less stressful.

If you've been a fan of Bubbafeet.com for any length of time, you're aware that truckers are one of my favorite breeds. Love their boots, socks, and feet!

Just for kicks, a trucker-loving buddy and I went to the "Great American Trucking Show", which was held at the Dallas Convention Center this past September. Big rigs, and the men who drive 'em, everywhere.

There were also several vendors there, hawking products and services that truckers might need. At one booth, a man was selling orthotic supports for footwear. He invited all truckers to pull off their boots and take his "tests", which would result in a $5200 check if they passed any one of them.

The "tests" were a scam (they were designed to be impossible to pass), but I hung around just for the sights. OOO-WEEEEEEEE. Every single trucker in the place who needed some extra cash had his boots off and was waiting his turn to win the prize.

I got the biggest prize of all: pics of those truckers and their big ol' feet!

He was very friendly, telling me about his new job at the truck stop and how, not having a car, he hoofed it close to ten miles each way, and was trying to save enough cash to get a place closer to work.

I offered him money towards the deposit on an apartment, if he agreed to show me his sweaty, tired feet. Needless to say, he now has a much shorter daily commute to the truck stop.

Desperado likes working with animals, especially horses, cattle, and dogs. He's lean, mean, and cowboy to the bone.

It blew his mind to find out that other dudes could get off on his feet, and he showed a lot of interest in the photo session, offering to pose for more shots than we had agreed upon.

Bobby Joe is a good ol' southern boy. He likes grits with butter and sugar, watermelon with salt and pepper, and another good ol' boy workin' with hands and tongue on his size 10-1/2 EEE's.

This bubba does lots of walking, and his dawgs sure do sweat in those big boots. You can smell his socks from across the room. Up close, they're even better.

Bobby Joe let me pin down his ankles and play "make the cowboy talk". Only took me about sixty seconds of tickling his feet to break him down into panicky, screaming laughter.

He wants a re-match, and has agreed to let me tie him down and tickle-torture his soles the next time. He thinks he can take it for a full thirty minutes. If he loses, we do another photo shoot, of his defeat (pun intended).

This man has it all: good looks with a Texas drawl; confident masculinity; intelligence and skills; and a great personality. And he was open-minded enough to show me his manly feet.

For a tough cowboy type, he sure was tenderfooted. Couldn't walk across my back patio without his boots on. Yeah, and he's ticklish, too... but I had to make him shoot to get him to laugh.

He's an artist, specializing in drawing, southwestern scenes, and animation. He's a hard-rockin' country boy who also likes old trucks, George Strait, old comics, and to have someone work on his big dawgs after a day at the job site.

Jack is a self-made businessman, very confident, almost arrogant. He travels the country, going from truck stop to truck stop, and makes those big rigs shine!

He takes pride in his work and how he presents himself. His thick-soled leather boots are always clean, and with all the miles he puts on 'em, just happen to make his little feet sweaty and real tenderfooted. It's too bad that he said he's too ticklish to do a video.
