I had seen this man dozens of times, always walking along the side of the highway about 4:00 in the afternoon. One hot day, I spotted him resting in the shade of a wooden fence (we don't have that many trees in north Texas) and offered him a ride home.

He was very friendly, telling me about his new job at the truck stop and how, not having a car, he hoofed it close to ten miles each way, and was trying to save enough cash to get a place closer to work.

I offered him money towards the deposit on an apartment, if he agreed to show me his sweaty, tired feet. Needless to say, he now has a much shorter daily commute to the truck stop.

I saw the mud caked on his boots, and told him to strip barefoot before he got in my car. He had some nice lookin' feet, so I invited him to spend the night; and I would drive him onward in the morning.

He wasn't keen on posing for a photo shoot; but since he remains nameless and faceless, you get to sneak a peek at his sleeping feet.

During the interview before the photo shoot, I asked if his wide feet were very sensitive. He exclaimed, "Hell, yeah!", adding that his ex-wife used to love to sit on his legs and tickle his feet, which drove him nuts.
